چکیده
We investigate the nature of an unusually faint member $\epsilon$ Cha Association ($D\sim100$ pc, age $\sim5$ Myr), nearest region star formation $<$8 Myr. This object, 2MASS J11550336-7919147 (2M1155$-$79B), is a wide ($\sim$580 AU) separation, comoving companion to low-mass (M3) J11550485-7919108 (2M1155$-$79A). present near-infrared spectra both components, along with analysis photometry from Gaia EDR3, 2MASS, VHS, and WISE. The near-IR spectrum 2M1155$-$79B displays strong He I 1.083 emission, sign active accretion and/or accretion-driven winds circumstellar disk. Analysis WISE archival data reveals that mid-infrared excess previously associated 2M1155$-$79A instead originates disk surrounding 2M1155$-$79B. Based on these results, as well radiative transfer modeling its optical/IR spectral energy distribution, we conclude most likely young, late-M, partially obscured by, actively accreting from, nearly edge-on would place among rare group nearby ($D\lesssim100$ pc), young (age $<$10 Myr) mid-M stars are orbited by highly inclined protoplanetary disks. Like systems, system particularly promising subject for studies planet around stars.

The nearby , young , isolated , dusty star HD 166191
We report an in-depth study of the F8-type star HD 166191, identified in an ongoing survey for stars exhibiting infrared emission above their expected photospheres in the Widefield Infrared Survey Explorer all-sky catalog. The fractional IR luminosity measured from 3.5 to 70 μm is exceptionally high (LIR/Lbol ∼10%). Near-diffraction limited imaging observations with the T-ReCS Si filter set on ...
متن کاملJa n 20 09 A Substantial Dust Disk Surrounding an Actively Accreting First - Ascent Giant Star
We report identification of the first unambiguous example of what appears to be a new class of first-ascent giant stars that are actively accreting gas and dust and that are surrounded by substantial dusty disks. These old stars, who are nearing the end of their lives, are experiencing a rebirth into characteristics typically associated with newborn stars. The F2-type first-ascent giant star TY...
متن کاملDiscovery of a Nearly Edge-on Disk around Hd 32297
We report the discovery of a nearly edge-on disk about the A0 star HD 32297 seen in light scattered by the disk grains revealed in NICMOS PSF-subtracted coronagraphic images. The disk extends to a distance of at least 400 AU (3 .3) along its major axis with a 1.1 mm flux density of 4.81 0.57 mJy beyond a radius of 0 .3 from the coronagraphically occulted star. The fraction of 1.1 mm starlight s...
متن کاملA Spitzer Study of Dusty Disks around Nearby, Young Stars
We have obtained Spitzer Space Telescope MIPS (Multiband Imaging Photometer for Spitzer) observations of 39AthroughM-type dwarfs, with estimated ages between 12 and 600Myr; IRACobservations for a subset of 11 stars; and follow-up CSO SHARC II 350 m observations for a subset of two stars. None of the objects observed with IRAC possess infrared excesses at 3.6–8.0 m; however, seven objects observ...
متن کاملDynamics on the Edge: Star-Disk Interaction
Our understanding of the dynamical processes which control the structure and evolution of the interaction region between an accretion disk and the central star is reviewed. If the central star is unmagnetized, this interaction is in the form of a classical boundary layer. However, if the central star is strongly magnetized, it is expected that the inner disk is truncated by the stellar field, a...
